Students Earn Scholarships to Alvernia University

Hard work in high school has paid off for college-bound seniors. The following students have earned Merit Scholarships to attend Alvernia University in the fall.

29 students at Community Colleges of Spokane receive opportunity scholarships

Twenty-nine students at the Community Colleges of Spokane are receiving help with the cost of their education this fall through the Washington State Opportunity Scholarship's Career and Technical Scholarship program. To be eligible, students must be low-to-middle income and seeking degrees, certificates or apprenticeships in high-demand trades, health care or STEM fields.

Thirteen CCS Students Awarded Esteemed Bright Promise Scholarship

Associated Industries, in partnership with Greater Spokane Incorporated and the Greater Minds Initiative, announced that 13 students attending Community Colleges of Spokane this fall were awarded Bright Promise scholarships. Each award is equal to 50 percent of the cost of tuition for the 2018-2019 academic year and supports students enrolled full-time pursuing advanced degrees or academic certification in health science, business, technology and industrial manufacturing technology.
