Congratulations SFCC students for making spring quarter 2021 honor roll

Spokane Falls Community College lists 972 students on its honor roll for spring quarter 2021, which ended in March. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or above to be listed on the honor roll. SFCC is one of two community colleges within the Community Colleges of Spokane district and serves about 7,600 students. It is renowned for its theater, music and fine arts as well as exceptional STEM programs. About 60 percent of its graduates transfer to four-year colleges and universities. Other students pursue career or technical degrees or certificates. SFCC has campuses in west Spokane, Fairchild Air Force Base and Pullman.

Three CCS students are among 63 community and technical college students to be honored Phi Theta Kappa's 2017 All-Washington Academic Team. They will be honored by higher education leaders, state legislators and others at a special ceremony at noon Thursday, March 23, at South Puget Sound Community College in Olympia.

SCC Students Win at Postsecondary Agricultural Students Competition

The SCC AgHort Club hosted the annual Washington State Postsecondary Agricultural Students Organization (PAS) competition on Jan. 26-27. Three schools competed in the event-Walla Walla Community College, Columbia Basin Community College and Spokane Community College. This competition qualifies students for the National PAS competition in St. Charles, Missouri March 13 - 16. SCC students took home 14 first place finishes and numerous other awards in categories such as employment interview contes
